Having worked as a paralegal for over two years, rather than just going through the motions for another two years, I knew that I wanted a training contract that would provide me with a genuine opportunity to get "stuck in" and actually develop and expand my skill set. I looked for an ambitious firm that would allow me early responsibility, and where as a trainee, I would be relied upon to make a tangible contribution to a wide variety of real work. Now, actually being part of the firm, I can confirm that as a Devonshires trainee you get all of the above, and furthermore, you get to work alongside genuinely nice (normal) people, who are incredibly good at what they do and are above all passionate about delivering tailored solutions for their clients.
