Trainee Solicitor

I applied to Devonshires because I felt they offered their staff the right balance of specialist client base and reputation within the sector, but with a friendly and open working environment. Having worked at Devonshires as a paralegal, I really enjoyed the culture of a smaller firm and had a real sense of being part of something that will remain that way, regardless of how large the firm becomes in the future.

As a trainee at Devonshires you get a great deal of immediate responsibility and client contact, which I believe is an integral part of any good training process. Trainee tasks vary from department to department, however there are plenty of opportunities to meet clients, attend meetings and even conduct advocacy. Trainees at Devonshires are encouraged to take part in all of the firm’s activities, (both professionally and socially) and it really is a case of the more you put in, the more you get out.
