Devonshires nominated for Clean City Awards Scheme Chairman's Cup

Friday, 02 December 2011

For the second year running, Devonshires has been short-listed to attend the final judging for the City Of London Clean City Awards Scheme Chairman's Cup - Medium Site.

The judging took place on Tuesday 29th November 2011 at the Guildhall where Devonshires had to make a short presentation to a panel of five judges, describing the waste minimisation, reuse and recycling initiatives that we have in place, our achievements so far this year, reasons why we deserve to win the Chairman's Cup and also answer any questions the judges had.

There are around 1,600 small, medium and large businesses signed up to the scheme of which there are four levels of awards for each business size - Merit, Gold, Platinum and the Chairman's Cup award for an overall winner. The top four businesses from each category were selected to attend the Final Judging for the Chairman's Cup Award.

Devonshires has been awarded a Gold Award (2008) and Platinum Awards (2009, 2010), and last year we were short-listed for the Chairman's Cup but missed out on the top award. We hope our efforts this year have put us in a good position to win this time round.

The winners will be announced in the new year.
