Devonshires’ Projects Group to Advise Northampton Borough Council

Sunday, 21 February 2010

The appointment by Northampton Borough Council of Devonshires’ Projects Group to advise on the Council’s Round 6 Housing Revenue Account PFI Project reinforces Devonshires’ position as one of the leading housing PFI advisors.

The Project represents the Council’s first foray into PFI and it provides them with approximately £100m of central government funding to regenerate estates in the Borough. For more details of the Project, please go to: www.northampton.gov.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=808

Devonshires’ team is being led by Paul Buckland who will draw support from Caroline Mostowfi (Projects), Kris Kelliher (Procurement), Nicola Philp (Employment) and Nick Billingham (Housing Management). This experienced team will be leading the Council through the pre-procurement stages of the Project and then during the procurement itself when it is expected that a number of consortia will bid for the opportunity to transform and run the estates for 25 years or so.

Devonshires’ Projects team has acted on virtually all of the housing PFI projects that have come to market (including those in Oldham, Warrington, Kent, Ashford, Lambeth, Leeds and Salford). Its experience of acting for bidders and local authorities alike was a key factor in securing the instruction from Northampton. Likewise the Firm’s 30 year association with affordable housing and its depth of experience in this sector.  This, coupled with the fact that the dedicated Projects Group has been delivering PFI Projects since 1998, means that Devonshires is uniquely placed to advise local authorities and bidders alike on the latest round of Housing PFI Projects.

If you are considering bidding for a PFI project or are a local authority that needs assistance in progressing a project, why not contact Paul Buckland?
