Daniel is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

Daniel's main client is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is one of our longest standing clients. In his role as legal counsel in the UK, Daniel provides a variety of litigation and non-litigation services from contractual disputes to injunction proceedings. He is currently attempting to extend the boundaries of Rating law as it applies to religious organisations, and the case is currently waiting to be reviewed by the European Court of Human Rights.

Devonshires also hosts two-second year law students from Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City on an eight-week summer placement each year. They spend two weeks with barristers at Chambers 4 - 5 Grays Inn Square and the rest of the time in the litigation department.

Daniel has a growing and successful Medical Negligence and Personal Injury practice, for which cases are run on a no win, no fee basis. The department focuses mainly on claimant work but also sometimes represents defendants. Cases range from straightforward road traffic accidents to complex medical negligence matters. 

His Family and Divorce practice covers all matrimonial and child issues, including ancillary relief, pre-nuptial agreements, contact and residence disputes and cohabitation. Daniel's commercial litigation and dispute work involves cases as disparate as a serious sexual assault charge in Germany to a dispute over the ownership of a racehorse.

Daniel is also the firm's Training Partner and in this capacity provides pastoral care to our trainees and is heavily involved with trainee recruitment and seat rotations.
