David is a Solicitor in the Banking and Governance Team. He advises on financing transactions for housing associations and funders. He also advises housing associations on constitutional and regulatory matters and carries out general corporate work including mergers and acquisitions and corporate re-organisations. 

David qualified in the General Lending and Leveraged Finance team at Allen & Overy LLP, where he spent six months assisting on muliti-jurisdictional leveraged finance deals, such as the refinancing of a UK private company to improve its debt profile in preparation for a sponsor exit by floatation and acting for the mezzanine lenders on a leveraged buyout of the payment systems division of a UK bank by a private equity consortium.

During his training contract, David gained experience in a wide range of corporate finance raisings, including rights issues by listed PLCs, raising funds in the capital markets through bond issues and “new money” and restructuring syndicated and bilateral facilities.
