Nick is a Partner and Head of the Housing Management Department.
Nick has over 18 years' experience of advising Registered Providers and local authorities in relation to housing litigation in the County Court, High Court and the Appeal Courts. He also advises social landlords on a wide spectrum of housing related issues including data protection, freedom of information, equality and diversity, and human rights as well as advising clients on policies and procedures and the impact of government housing policy and new legislation such as the Housing & Regeneration Act 2008.
Nick has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the social housing field by Chambers UK legal directory for the last eight years.
Nick has been involved in a number of high profile cases, including London & Quadrant –v- Weaver (2008), Riverside –v- White (2007), L B Lambeth –v- Kay (2006), Bruton -v- London & Quadrant Housing Trust (2000) and Newlon -v- Alsulaimen (1998).
Nick was one of the contributing authors to Jordan’s Guide to the Housing Act 1996 and is one of the founding members of the Social Housing Law Association. He has also appeared on the Legal Television Education Network and regularly lectures to clients on a wide range of housing management and property litigation issues.
Nick is a former Board Member of Colchester Borough Homes and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Housing Law.
