Tom is a Solicitor in the Construction Team and advises corporate, public and private clients on predominantly contentious matters. On aspects relating to general commercial litigation he advises clients on construction and maintenance; insolvency (in particular in relation to contractors’ insolvency and preparing as well as applying to set aside statutory demands); IT disputes; and rights (in particular easements).
Tom also advises on and negotiates commercial, construction (including all standard forms of contract, development agreements, warranties and appointments) and IT contracts. Tom has a varied experience in handling litigation and has dealt with cases in the County, Commercial, TCC, Court of Appeal and House of Lords.
By being involved in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of commercial law, Tom is able to provide clients with effective commercial advice tailored to his clients’ needs.
Tom is also a regular contributor to journals published by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is in the process of preparing a definitive article on the implications of the Bribery Act 2010 in relation to supply contracts.
