Trainee Solicitor

I applied to Devonshires because I wanted to work for a medium sized city firm with a good reputation, a variety of different departments and a healthy work-life balance.

I did work experience with Devonshires whilst at university and really loved the friendly culture of the firm. During my work experience I felt fully integrated into the team and participated in sponsored runs and social events. The firm invest a lot of time in their trainees and make a huge effort to integrate them into the business. By the end of the induction week we had met people from every department and we were allocated a second year trainee as a buddy to support us and generally help us settle in.

As a Trainee at Devonshires there is opportunity for early responsibility along side support from highly skilled and experienced partners and solicitors. From day one of my first seat in Property, I have been running my own files under the supervision of a partner. My department is very supportive. I feel comfortable asking ‘silly questions’ and asking for advise because I know that people will take the time to teach me new things and help me find the right answer.
