Trainee Solicitor

Devonshires appealed to me from the moment I looked on the website. A City firm that didn’t take itself too seriously to veto a circus-themed, trainee-led trainee section stood out from all the others. I was looking for a City firm that felt a bit like a High Street firm in the departments offered and the level of client care provided. Devonshires has such a wide range of clients (from long-term housing associations to first-time private clients) matched only by the range of departments it offers (from one-man led teams to teams stretching over a whole floor). I am excited by the number of opportunities it can provide during a two year training contract.

Devonshires made me feel as though I appealed to them just as much as soon as I had contact with the firm. From my first interview, I have felt really appreciated and welcomed. Being one of a small intake, the effort put into our induction, welcome drinks, buddy and mentor schemes has been really touching. You, in turn, are expected to contribute from day one. The early responsibility keeps you challenged and interested and you feel as though you can really make a difference.
