What We Do

Construction Contracts

The construction contracts team has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting all types of construction contracts, including building contracts, development agreements, partnering agreements, collateral warranties, performance bonds, parent company guarantees, consultants' appointments and facilities management agreements. We advise on the use of standard forms of contracts in all contexts and have detailed knowledge and experience of standard forms such as the JCT, NEC, TPC, ACA (PPC 2000) and all other commonly used forms of contracts and methods of procurement used for construction projects. We also draft and negotiate bespoke building contracts and documents and undertake due diligence exercises for clients.

The team is a market leader in advising its public sector clients on the implementation of framework agreements to meet the challenge of the EU Procurement Rules and on best value procurement generally. It has particular experience in drafting and negotiating framework agreements for a number of clients, as well as the associated call-off contracts to framework agreements for the array of contractors and professional consultants such as architects, engineers, CDM co-ordinators, project managers and costs consultants.
