What We Do

Energy and Climate Change

The ever increasing emphasis on renewable energy and sustainability, together with the Government's expanding green agenda, creates exciting opportunities for many different sectors and organisations beyond the traditional utilities sector. Devonshires' Energy and Climate Change Team was formed to assist our clients already exploring these opportunities and others wishing to get involved in this growing market. The team brings together expertise from a range of disciplines equipping the team to deal with small and large scale projects, corporate matters, property and construction matters, procurement and regulatory issues.

Currently, we are providing numerous clients (both social housing providers and lenders) with our expertise for the successful delivery of solar PV/Feed-in Tariff projects. Devonshires advises on CHP schemes for the supply of energy to housing developments, and retrofit projects being delivered through the CESP and CERT programmes.

Looking to the future, our Energy and Climate Change Team is involved in helping clients to fully understand and take advantage of the Renewable Heat Inventive Scheme and the Green Deal. We attend the Aldersgate Group events, which are policy forums focused on a sustainable economy and we are members of Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow (SHIFT) - a best practice learning network created by Sustainable Homes.

In this fast paced sector Devonshires' Energy and Climate Change Team is committed to keeping fully abreast of changes and keeping our clients informed of new developments in the sector. Our experienced, multi-disciplinary team is well placed to provide cohesive and commercially driven legal support on a range of energy related matters.
