What We Do

Civil Partnership

Civil partnerships enable same-sex couples to benefit from the same legal rights as married couples.

We can advise you on the legal rights and responsibilities involved in entering into a civil partnership, and on the legal implications of ending it.

Civil partners whose partnership has ended can obtain from the court the same range of financial orders as those available to married couples who go through divorce. These include maintenance payments, the payment of lump sums, orders dealing with the transfer or sale of property, and orders sharing or transferring pensions from one party to the other.

Alternatively we can advise you on all aspects of reaching an agreement through negotiation without involvement of the Court.
