We can help you if you are suffering from any form of domestic abuse.
The term ‘domestic abuse’ represents any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality. Domestic abuse may be a single act or a number of acts forming a pattern of abuse and can take any of the following forms: psychological; physical; sexual; financial or emotional.
We can assist and support you to obtain either of the following orders which are the most common remedies for dealing with domestic abuse:
These orders prohibit the Respondent from molesting the Applicant or a child and covers violence, threats of violence and also pestering (such as threatening letters or abusive telephone calls).
These orders can be applied for by a wide variety of associated persons including close relatives, parties who are or have been married to each other and cohabitants or former cohabitants.
These can only be applied for by spouses and cohabitants.
