We draft and advise on amendments to, and variations of, assured and secure tenancies to ensure that our clients’ tenancy agreements are up to date and comply with current law, regulation and best practice. We also ensure that any agreement we draft is both robust and sufficiently flexible to stand the test of time and avoid, where possible, the need for future variation. We advised on occasions in the past in relation to mass variations of tenancy, including advice on the consultation process, comparisons of tenancy, preliminary notices and Notices of Variation. We also regularly advise on matters relating to policy, including advice on starter tenancies and rights of succession to ensure that those policies could withstand a judicial review challenge brought by a tenant or a prospective tenant.
