We will not charge you anything for initial advice as to whether we think that you have a claim worth pursuing.
If we decide that you may have a claim and you instruct us to act on your behalf we will request your medical records and instruct a medical expert to provide an initial report on whether they think that you have sufficient grounds from which to pursue a claim.
If the report is favourable, we will then instruct further expert reports as necessary, for example, to report on your condition and prognosis and whether the negligence caused the injury or condition from which you are suffering.
These reports will enable us to advise you on the chances of winning your case and to put a value on it.
We would then make a claim against the party at fault, be it a GP or a hospital trust. In the overwhelming majority of cases, claims are settled before they reach court. If the case did go to court then we would instruct an experienced barrister and support you every step of the way.
